Bangla Bandh
The 12-hour "Bangla Bandh" called by the BJP to protest against the hike in power tariffs has shown how irresponsible a political party can get. One can not deny that the "common man" would definitely support an agitation to protest a hike in power tariffs, but that does not warrant a Bandh (a violent one, at that). Moreover, since there was hardly any prior intimation, its the "common man" - a huge number of them - who has suffered terribly. And violence just can not be condoned no matter what the issue.

The bandhs that happen so frequently are extremely detrimental to the growth of West Bengal. Bandhs do not solve problems.
ReplyDeleteFrequent strikes which is meant to be solve common man problems rather create troubles in commomn man's life. Think about people whose earnings based on per day earnings. s/he loses one day's worth of earnings because of one strike.

BJP HAS NO SUCH POWER. ANY BANDH REQUIRES PREPARATION. THE BANDH WAS CONCOCTED, BUT WHO CALLED THE BANDH?
